Amazon Subscriptions: How to Find, Manage, and Cancel Yours

Amazon subscriptions are easy to start while ordering household supplies, trying an audiobook, or watching a new show. Finding them again can take more work: Prime, video add-ons, digital memberships, and recurring product deliveries do not all use the same management screen.

If you are reviewing your monthly spending or trying to stop an unfamiliar charge, start by identifying the service and who bills you. This guide explains where to look, how to stop renewals, and which details to check before you cancel.

Where Should You Start?

To find Amazon subscriptions, open Your Memberships & Subscriptions, then check the relevant service’s settings if something is missing. Manage recurring product deliveries separately under Subscribe & Save. For subscriptions billed by Apple, Google Play, or another provider, use that provider’s cancellation process. Complete every confirmation step and check the end date; deleting an app does not cancel billing.Amazon Subscriptions at a Glance

How to Find Your Amazon Subscriptions

Start With Memberships & Subscriptions

Sign in to the Amazon account you normally use, open Your Account, and look for Memberships & Subscriptions. You can also use the direct link above.

For each active entry, record the service name, renewal date, billing frequency, and renewal amount. A free trial belongs on this list too: its current cost may be zero while its next charge is not.

Treat this page as your starting point rather than proof that you have found every recurring payment. Check service-specific settings and other billing providers as well.

Check Your Memberships & Subscriptions

Check Other Accounts and Billing Providers

If a charge is missing, search your email for the service name alongside “subscription,” “renewal,” or “receipt.” Check whether you enrolled using another email address or an app-store account.

An iPhone purchase is not automatically Apple-billed, and an Android purchase is not automatically Google-billed. The receipt identifies who collected payment.

For subscriptions you did purchase through an app store, check:

  • Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
  • Google Play: profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Apple Support (UK)

Check Subscribe & Save Separately

Open Your Subscribe & Save Items for recurring deliveries of products such as coffee, cleaning supplies, and pet essentials.

Review both active subscriptions and upcoming deliveries. Canceling a future subscription and canceling an order already being processed are separate tasks.

How to Cancel Amazon Subscriptions

Cancel through the organization billing you, follow the process through to confirmation, and save the displayed end date. Starting a cancellation flow is not the same as finishing it.

Before confirming, check whether you are ending access immediately, switching off renewal, or accepting a temporary pause that will restart automatically.

Amazon Prime

Open your Prime membership settings and choose the membership-management option, then follow the steps to end your membership. Read the final screen for the effective date and any refund option offered to your account.

Review our Amazon Prime benefits guide first if you are unsure what you use. Do not assume ending Prime closes every separately billed service in your account; check those subscriptions individually.

Prime Video Add-On Subscriptions

In Prime Video, open Account & Settings → Subscriptions, find the add-on, and select Unsubscribe, then confirm. Amazon notes that the wording may also appear as “withdraw.”

The official Prime Video cancellation guide says the confirmation screen shows the end date. Canceling does not automatically refund earlier subscription charges.

If Apple bills the add-on, use Apple’s process. Prime Video specifically advises canceling Apple-billed add-ons at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid another charge. primevideo.com

Kindle Unlimited

For Amazon-billed memberships, open Kindle Unlimited Central and select the cancellation option.

According to Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited cancellation instructions, membership remains active until the next billing date. After that, you lose access to checked-out content. Borrowing a title through Kindle Unlimited does not make it a purchased book.

If Google Play bills your membership, manage it there instead. digprjsurvey.amazon.com

Amazon Music Unlimited

Open Amazon Music Settings, locate Amazon Music Unlimited, and choose the cancellation option under the renewal details. Confirm the cancellation.

Amazon’s instructions distinguish Amazon-billed plans from those billed through Apple, Google Play, or a mobile provider. Your paid Unlimited access continues until the plan ends; downloaded subscription content does not become a permanent purchase. digprjsurvey.amazon.com

Audible

For direct billing, sign in on Audible’s website, open Membership details, select Cancel membership, and confirm.

Check your credit balance before proceeding. Audible’s cancellation policy says unused membership credits can be lost when membership ends, while credits issued through Apple App Store or Google Play memberships remain after cancellation. Follow the terms shown for your specific plan.

Audiobooks purchased with credits or money remain in your library. Access to titles borrowed from the included membership catalog is different and ends with the applicable benefit. Apple- and Google-billed memberships must be canceled through those providers. help.audible.com

Amazon Kids+

Start in Parent Dashboard or your subscription-management page and look for the Kids+ subscription controls. Confirm which adult account enrolled before assuming the membership is missing.

If a device came with a promotional period, check the renewal terms attached to that offer. Our Amazon Kids+ guide helps you assess whether the content is still useful for your family.

Subscribe & Save

Open Your Subscribe & Save Items, select the product, and look for its editing or cancellation controls. Confirm the change and recheck upcoming orders.

Skipping a delivery is useful when you have enough stock. Canceling makes more sense when you no longer want automatic replenishment. If a shipment is already in progress, check that order separately in Your Orders.

Why Am I Being Charged for Amazon Subscriptions?

An unfamiliar Amazon charge is not necessarily a subscription. It could be a digital purchase, a physical order, a trial renewal, or a purchase made by someone authorized to use the account.

Use Amazon’s charge-identification guidance and compare the statement entry with your Amazon transactions and receipts. digprjsurvey.amazon.com

Check in this order:

  1. Match the amount and date to orders and digital purchases.
  2. Review active memberships and recently ended trials.
  3. Check video add-ons and other service-specific accounts.
  4. Ask household members about authorized purchases.
  5. Contact Amazon through its website or app if the charge remains unexplained.

Do not identify a service from the dollar amount alone. Taxes, plan changes, and promotional pricing can make similar charges look alike. If you suspect unauthorized card use, contact your card issuer promptly as well.

Are Amazon Subscriptions Included With Prime?

Some benefits come with Prime; additional paid subscriptions are separate. Seeing a service inside an Amazon app does not mean your Prime membership covers its full offering.

Prime Reading and Kindle Unlimited are different offerings. Amazon Music’s Prime benefit and Music Unlimited are different plans. Prime Video add-ons carry additional charges, as explained in Amazon’s add-on subscription help. digprjsurvey.amazon.com

Subscribe & Save is different again: it schedules purchases of eligible physical products. Amazon confirms that Prime is not required to use the program. aboutamazon.com

For household arrangements, our Amazon Family guide explains benefit sharing. Shared benefits do not mean every adult’s separately purchased subscription has been canceled or combined.

When Does Subscribe & Save Actually Save Money?

Subscribe only to products you already use at a predictable rate. Then compare the upcoming delivery’s cost per unit with a one-time purchase and other retailers.

A useful calculation is:

Cost per unit = final product cost ÷ number of usable units.

For example, a hypothetical $24 pack of 72 coffee pods costs about 33 cents per pod. A $20 pack of 48 costs about 42 cents per pod. The larger pack has the lower unit price, but only helps if you will use it.

Review every delivery reminder. Amazon says these reminders show the upcoming products, prices, and applicable discounts. Do not treat the first order’s price or coupon as a permanent agreement for later shipments. aboutamazon.com

Three Established Products to Consider

These products have substantial Amazon review histories and are examples of repeat-use household purchases. They are not necessities, and customer ratings are not laboratory evidence. Check whether the selected seller and pack currently offer Subscribe & Save before enrolling. amazon.com

🐈 Dr. Elsey’s Ultra Cat Litter

For affresh, the manufacturer recommends monthly use or every 30 wash cycles. If you use one tablet monthly, six tablets last roughly six months—not one month. Follow your appliance’s care instructions. affresh

For coffee, match delivery frequency to actual consumption and compare price per pod. For litter, choose a schedule based on how quickly your household uses a bag; avoid switching a product your cat accepts purely to chase a discount.

A Five-Minute Subscription Audit

Create a short list with four fields: service, next charge, renewal date, and billing provider. Add a fifth field for the last time you used it.

For annual memberships, divide the annual cost by 12 to compare monthly spending, but keep the actual renewal date visible. For recurring products, record the next shipment total and how much stock you already have.

Classify each subscription as keep, review, skip, or cancel. Set a reminder before each trial ends, and check whether a pause resumes automatically.

After canceling, retain the confirmation and review the next statement. This catches incomplete cancellations and duplicate memberships without requiring constant monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I see all my Amazon subscriptions?

Start with Your Memberships & Subscriptions, then check Prime, Prime Video, Music, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, Kids+, and Subscribe & Save as relevant. Review Apple or Google subscriptions if either provider bills you.

Why can’t I find the cancel button?

You may be in the wrong account, using a screen without management controls, or paying through another provider. Check the receipt, try the service’s website, and contact its support if the option remains missing.

Does deleting an Amazon app cancel a subscription?

No. Uninstalling an app removes it from the device; it does not complete the subscription’s cancellation process. Cancel through the billing provider and keep the confirmation.

Will canceling Prime cancel all my Amazon subscriptions?

Do not assume so. Review each service separately. Some benefits depend on Prime, while other memberships and recurring product orders have their own billing arrangements.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

Cancellation and refunds are separate. Eligibility depends on the service, enrollment method, timing, and applicable terms. For example, Prime Video says canceling an add-on does not automatically refund previous subscription charges.

Can I cancel Subscribe & Save after the first delivery?

Amazon says you can cancel subscriptions at any time. Check the promotion’s terms and any already-created order separately. Ending future deliveries does not automatically reverse a shipment already being processed.

Why was I charged after I canceled?

Compare the charge with your confirmation date, subscription end date, and order history. It could relate to an earlier billing period, another membership, or a processed product order. Ask the billing provider to investigate if the charge still does not match.

Is there one fee for all Amazon subscriptions?

No. Your total depends on the memberships, add-ons, and product deliveries you choose. Check each renewal price and frequency rather than treating your Prime payment as the total cost of your Amazon services.
